WHY THE NEED?

The Kodiak first flew in 2004 and delivered the first aircraft in 2008.
Over the past 17 years there now exists 350 operational Kodaks around the world and growing. Operators have come to embrace the versatility of the Kodiak utilizing it in a variety of applications including owner flown, multi-missions, seaplane, skydiving, commercial service and executive transport. The fleet has reached a tipping point where independent representation is needed to protect, promote and advance owner interests. General Aviation has its own challenges, as do each owners group. The Kodiak is no different. There has never been a better time to have an independently formed not-for-profit whose existence is dedicated to protecting our owners with an eye to the future promoting safety, training and maintaining residual values.

THE KOPS BRAND

The Kodiak Owners & Pilots Society, a Florida organized not-for-profit 501c(7) was formed to promote, protect and provide advocacy for Kodiak Owners and the fleet. The Kodiak is known for its safety, modern design, robust construction, American craftsmanship, durability, versatility and outstanding performance. These are all the elements which make for a premium brand.

MEMBERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

As a member of KOPS, our owners and sponsors should expect nothing less than a premium experience. Your membership fees, financial and in-kind contributions aren’t a donation but rather an investment in the relationship with KOPS, Kodiak owners and all relevant stakeholders to provide the best ownership experience in the industry.

To this end, we thoughtfully analyzed how members interacted with other associations and how we could improve the members investment in time, people and resources. While we didn’t re-invent the wheel, we identified unique and purposeful opportunities only KOPS can provide our members. KOPS is being built to be different. Gone are typical conventions filled with PowerPoint presentations and mundane agendas. Expect curated, hands-on adventures as we exploit the best of the Kodiak – it’s DNA to travel where other aircraft can’t while emphasizing safety, training, best practices and a real commitment to developing and fostering substantive relationships.
